“Que entendernos no sea un amor prohibido” por Guadalupe Nogués
Se llevó a cabo la Conferencia sobre polarización, tolerancia y convivencia en Bolivia denominada “Que entendernos no sea un amor prohibido”, en el anfiteatro de la Universidad Privada Boliviana, y en colaboración con dicha institución. Conferencia impulsada por el “Proyecto Unámonos”, el cual es ejecutado en Bolivia de forma conjunta por las fundaciones Friedrich Ebert Stiftung y Konrad Adenauer Stiftung. Se contó con la presencia de diversos invitados y asistentes, así como de Guadalupe Nogués, doctora en Ciencias Biológicas de la Universidad de Buenos Aires, estudiosa en temas de diálogo en contexto de perspectivas diversas, y escritora de los libros “Pensar con otros. Una guía de supervivencia en tiempos de posverdad” (2019) y “Entender un Elefante. Qué podemos aprender de la complejidad de la pandemia para enfrentar la próxima catástrofe global” (2022)
El evento inició con una breve introducción del Pro-Rector de la UPB, doctor Oscar Molina. A continuación, Jan Souverein, Director de la Friedrich Ebert Stiftung brindó unas palabras de bienvenida, enfatizando en el tema central de la Conferencia. Así, se dio inicio a la disertación de Guadalupe Nogués. La exposición exploró los efectos de la polarización política en Bolivia, por ejemplo, el silencio en la sociedad civil y sus consecuencias para la democracia. También se comentó la tendencia a separar a las personas en categorías, así como las ideas de la escritora Chimamanda N. Adichie en relación a los estereotipos. Luego, la autora propuso 5 pasos para reconectar con los demás: confianza, conexión, convivencia, conversaciones y consensos.
Finalizada la Conferencia, se dio paso a preguntas y comentarios del público, sobre los que la autora pudo profundizar. Posteriormente, la Coordinadora del Proyecto Unámonos, Ana Velasco, presentó un breve teaser vinculado a la campaña social que pronto lanzará este proyecto para poder discutir el impacto de la polarización en el país. Y, para concluir, el embajador de Alemania, Dr. José Schulz, ofreció algunas palabras de cierre.
