Los Conversatorios son una iniciativa conjunta entre la Vicepresidencia del Estado Plurinacional y la Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung en Bolivia.
Los “Conversatorios en Democracia” son un espacio de diálogo plural y deliberación pública orientado a la reflexión colectiva sobre diferentes temas de interés común en torno al proceso de transformaciones en Bolivia.
Sobre la base de estudios e investigaciones, análisis comparados, datos, publicaciones, conocimientos diversos, historias de vida y experiencias se busca cultivar un ejercicio de intercambio de saberes y de traducción intercultural.
En los “Conversatorios”, de carácter público y periódico, se espera la concurrencia de distintas voces que, desde concepciones y prácticas diversas, expongan y debatan ideas que puedan nutrir la reflexión colectiva.
En esta oportunidad la temática a tratar será sobre el Mercado Común del Sur (MERCOSUR) un proceso abierto y dinámico de integración regional. Su objetivo es generar oportunidades comerciales y de inversión, pero también impulsar acuerdos en materia migratoria, laboral, cultural y social, entre otros. Desde su creación en 1991, el MERCOSUR se ha constituido en un bloque fundamental para la región y en ámbito internacional.
Luego de un prolongado camino y varias gestiones, Bolivia se adhirió este año como Estado Miembro del MERCOSUR. Este hecho constituye una gran oportunidad para el país, cuya integración plena al organismo plantea importantes beneficios y desafíos. De ello se ocupará el nuevo Conversatorio en Democracia con la participación de actores y especialistas en el tema.
