En el marco de un proceso de transición ecológica justa, presentaron una versión actualizada de la "Propuesta de Desarrollo Productivo Departamental de Tarija", elaborada conjuntamente, como una estrategia para impulsar la generación del desarrollo en el departamento, tras la reducción dramática de ingresos por concepto de la explotación y venta de petróleo y gas.
En ese contexto se realizó el segundo encuentro de la Mesa Interinstitucional para avanzar hacia un modelo de desarrollo sostenible, enfocado en las potencialidades del Departamento, junto a actores clave, entre ellos, la Central Obrera Departamental (COD), La Federación de Empresarios Privados de Tarija (FEP), la Universidad Autónoma Juan Misael Saracho y el Gobierno Autónomo Municipal de Tarija.
El evento congregó a diferentes sectores de la sociedad civil y autoridades departamentales, logrando una buena representación. De esta forma, participaron el Secretario Ejecutivo de la COD, Carlos León; el presidente de la FEPT, Rene Segovia; representantes del Gobierno Autónomo Municipal de Tarija; y el Vicerrector de la Universidad Autónoma Juan Misael Saracho (#UAJMS), Jaime Condori, entre otros.
El objetivo central fue iniciar un proceso de incidencia que logre obtener una política pública departamental o nacional, a partir de la propuesta presentada. El evento finalizó priorizando la Cadena Agroproductiva y el Turismo como líneas estratégicas, que deberán ser plasmadas en una propuesta específica técnica hasta el mes de octubre, donde se realizará un nuevo encuentro.
