El jueves 17 y viernes 18 de mayo, representantes de las Central Obrera Departamental (COD’s) se reunieron en Tarija en un taller de dos días para discutir el desarrollo productivo y el rol de los sindicatos en Bolivia.
En general, cuando los representantes de las COD’s se reúnen siempre hay un ambiente vivo y productivo. Esta vez, se reunieron para hablar sobre la temática del desarrollo productivo. El objetivo del taller fue elaborar agendas de propuestas económico productivas para poder influir en el debate público.
El primer día, por la mañana, las y los participantes trabajaron en grupos un análisis de conceptos clave de la economía y su aplicación en un contexto nacional. Por la tarde el economista José Gabriel Espinoza realizó una introducción a los principales indicadores y variables socio-económicas en el nivel internacional, nacional y regional.
El segundo día del taller se enfocó en entender la cuarta revolución industrial y el trabajo. A su vez, se discutió el papel de los sindicatos en ese nuevo proceso. En general, el evento fue prometedor porque los líderes sindicales se familiarizaron con los conceptos económicos clave y las características de la economía boliviana para construir su propia lectura crítica y propositiva. Además, conocieron y entendieron el panorama económico nacional y su vinculación con las condiciones de empleo y de vida de las y los trabajadores.
Finalmente, definieron el papel que debía tener el movimiento sindical y visibilizaron la necesidad de la construcción de una agenda de desarrollo productivo.
